George “Wil” Boomhower, age 75 of Geneva, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025 at UH Geneva Medical Center. He was born January 23, 1950 in Geneva, the son of George W. and Rubie E. (Bodisch) Boomhower. He obtained a bachelors degree from Kent State University. He served in the United States Airforce.
George worked at Ceva Logistics for over 18 years as a truck driver. He attended Assumption Catholic Church. George loved his family and wanted to be remembered as a poet. He enjoyed herb gardening, reading and authored a book “Outside the Gates of Eden” a christian perspective on his adventures as a truck driver. He especially enjoyed being in the presence of his granddaughter Rubie.
He is survived by his wife, Corinne; son, Mark (Megan) Boomhower; grandchild, Rubie Boomhower; sisters, Mary (Jonathan) Bertholf , Monica (Patrick) Arlet; and brother, Mark (Wendy) Artesia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Christopher Boomhower and sister, Margaret Boomhower.
Friends will be received on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 9AM-11AM at Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S Broadway, Geneva, OH, 44041. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately after at 12PM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 30 Lockwood St., Geneva, OH 44041.
