My heart aches for his family and friends. I hope you find peace through this journey. I had the experience of living next door to Rich for years. Almost every crazy memory about my parents involved Rich. I loved his summer concerts in the driveway. I remember sitting with my dad out in front of our house listening to him play piano. Going to see him play was a family treat. He's the reason my brother and I jump off the roof into our pool. He is the reason I know how not to paint a pool! He's the reason why lolipop is my cb handle. He was an awesome neighbor, always an adventure. My mom and dad had a few select friends and he was definitely one of them. I have spent most of the evening going through memories of him and they are all crazy and wonderful. I wish I had known he was right around the corner I would have popped by to visit like he did all the time. He would walk up the driveway and knock on the kitchen window and say "I got the vodka, you got the orange juice?" My bff the last 2 years at work. Boy he could be a handful, but this man was my buddy, he could make me smile even when I wanted to be mad. Literally would hear my voice and would crawl out of bed or start screaming until someone would go get him up. 🙄 Everyone that had the pleasure to know him, loved him. Smiling ear to ear with his sucker in his mouth. Oh and boy he had a way with the ladies and he loved his blondes, my best memory of Rick was coming to work he was up in his chair smiling ear to ear, I said did you miss me he looked over at the girl next to him (nursing student holding his hand) plain as day he said " no". I said Rick I thought I was your favorite boy he held her hand tighter. I said oh I see she is a blonde trading me in for another blonde. Rick busted up laughing, he laughed so hard that day and everyday there was a blonde he could wrap around his fingers. I miss you buddy more than you know. You made my nights better ( sometimes lol) I will cherish the memories the laughs. I know your in a better place. I have Ricky the raccoon with me. RIP my dear friend until we meet again. 🙏
