Elizabeth "Eileen" Zimmerle

Elizabeth “Eileen” Zimmerle, 90, passed to our Lord and Saviour January 23, 2022. She was born in Allendale, Ill, to Katherine (Alka) and Jacob Shepard on May 11, 1931. Eileen always helped others and volunteered at local nursing and group homes. She had an affinity for sewing and crocheting, and nobody ever went hungry when she was creating in the kitchen! Eileen was a very active long-time member at North Madison Church of Christ which is now New Day Christian Church. Eileen will be missed by her daughter, Susan E. (Scott) Dobson; grandson Kyle S. Dobson; brothers, Don (Frances) Shepard and Carl Shepard; along with many nieces and nephews. She joins with the Lord, her husband, Melvin; son, Walter; her parents; sisters Hester J. Morgan and Rose Mary Olds; niece Kathy Courter; and nephews Kevin Courter and Patric Morgan. There will be a graveside service and committal in the summer.
