It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Rose Ann Crofoot, of Geneva, OH on June 5, 2021, at the age of 69, with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Howard “Hutch” Hutchinson and A. Rose Hutchinson, September 18, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio. Rose Ann has been a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Madison high school in 1969 and received a BA in Business from David Myers College in 2005. Rose Ann started her career at Perfection Corporation, where she worked for 47 years as a cost accountant and customer service manager. She most recently worked as a consultant, at All Pass Corporation, where she was reunited and worked with many of her long-time friends.
She married her high school sweetheart, Frank L. Crofoot, in 1971. They lived in Germany for two years while Frank was in the Army. She resided in Geneva for the last 50 years, where she raised her family. She loved her family and friends more than anything and she loved to open her doors and share her home for holiday parties, birthdays and many weekend pool parties. In recent years, her favorite days were spending time with her granddaughter, Ellie, watching TV shows and movies, along with her sweet schnauzer Lilly that never left her side.
Rose Ann had a strong faith and was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison. Pastor, Father Sean Donnelly was a shining light, to her, as she navigated her cancer journey. She loved her church family and enjoyed supporting the church through serving as a Eucharistic minister, weekly money counter and served on various committees: parish council, summer picnics, bingo, carnivals, yearly reverse raffles and renewal. She was also an avid supporter of St. John School in Saybrook, OH where both her daughters graduated and granddaughter currently attends.
Rose Ann was so much too so many, she was: grandma (her favorite title), mom, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, mother in law, sister in law and friend. We will always remember Rose Ann’s beautiful smile and most of all her true love of her family and friends, as friends quickly became family. She blessed so many lives with her kindness, courage, huge heart, love and care for everyone. She was the person we loved to follow, as she was our leader, problem solver, positive thinker, safety net, cheerleader, advice giver, trip planner, hug giver and the person that always made you know that everything was going to be okay.
Rose Ann is survived by her spouse, Frank Crofoot; daughters Kristen Bane (fiancé Kevin Koziol) and Karin (Christian) Siebeneck; granddaughter Ellie Bane; mother Alma Rose Hutchinson; sister Marianne (Jim) Repinski; brother Tom Hutchinson; sister-in-laws Mary (Bill) Jacques, Brenda (Dave) Elmore, Linda (Dave) Yankie; nieces & nephews: Nicole Repinksi, Rachelle Repinski (fiancé Jerry Salvatore), Michael Hutchinson, Jeff Hayden, Deanna Dake, Jill Koeth, Joseph Elmore, Lindsay Bell and Adam Yankie and lifelong best friends Toni Will and Colleen Mussell.
Rose Ann was preceded in death by her father Howard W. Hutchinson; infant brother, Howard Hutchinson; infant granddaughter Adeline Siebeneck; son in law Steve Bane; mother & father in law Donald & Elizabeth Crofoot; brother in law Bob Hayden and nephew Greg Hayden
In her final days, she was exactly where she wanted to be, she was lovingly cared for surrounded by her family and friends. In the weeks prior to her passing, she shared some words of wisdom. “When dealing with challenges and people are involved, just remember to “love” them, love is all you need and it will be okay.” And lastly “I will always be here with you, all you have to do is call my name and I’ll be here.”
Rose Ann’s family would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for their loving care for her, in her final days, as well as all of her family and friends near and far that have cared for her, prayed and supported her throughout this journey.
