Barbara Ann (Powell) Tackett went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2021, at the age of 87. She was born, along with her twin brother Charles, February 8, 1933 at their Grandmother’s house in Cleveland to parents Manual (Ed) and Anna (Carkling) Powell of Madison.
Barbara was a caring, generous, and kind soul who helped people around her; she was a nurse later in life, and prior to that worked a variety of jobs including running the Print Shop at John Carroll University. She lived much of her life in Madison, Cleveland, and Eastlake, Ohio. She enjoyed traveling, cruises, gambling in Seneca NY, and even made a couple to trips to Las Vegas. She loved horses, yardwork, or watching old movies at home when she was not chatting with friends and family. Barbara was known for her vibrant sense of humor, too.
Barbara is survived by daughter, Terri Lee (Dennis) Wolcott, of Boulder City, NV, as well as her many nieces and nephews, and their children, whom she dearly loved. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reid Tackett; son, Larry Edward Ross; her parents; twin brother, Charles Edward Powell; sister, Carole Ann (Joseph) Holy; and brother, Edward Oliver (Shirley) Powell.
Friends and Family will be received Friday, February 5, 2021, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Guests will be expected to follow current pandemic guidelines, wear masks and practice social distancing. A Graveside Memorial Service is planned for later in the year where Barbara will join husband Reid in final rest at Madison Memorial Cemetery.
