Vernice J. Alley

Vernice J. Alley, age 82, of Madison, passed away Monday, June 22, at her son’s home surrounded by loved ones. She was born May 19, 1938 in Wytheville, VA, the daughter of William and Julie (Taylor) Webb. She married William W. Alley in 1955. Vernice was a very good cook. She enjoyed fishing with her children when they were young, collecting various cookbooks, and cooking for her family. She is survived by her sons, Walter (Karen) Alley, William Alley; daughter, Julie McVey; sister, Nancy Hudson; brother, Joseph Webb; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Alley; daughters, Carol Alley and Teresa Alley; sister, Francis Brosovich; brother, William Webb and her parents. Friends will be received 5-7 pm Monday, June 29, 2020 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057. Those in attendance are strongly encouraged to follow current pandemic guidelines for Covid 19, wear masks, and keep social distance. Funeral Personnel will assist with entry.
