Russell R. Gau, age 82, of Brooksville, FL, formerly of Jefferson, OH passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his home. He was born March 19, 1938 in Painesville, to Russell G. and Edith (Lasl) Gau.
Russell served in the U.S. Navy. He farmed in Harpersfield Township, Ohio and was a Service man for Sears. He was an avid motorcycle rider, built and flew model planes, was President of Rourtan and loved woodworking.
He is survived by wife, Dixie; daughter, Deborah Hrisko; sons, Russell (Theresa) L. Gau, Douglas (Connie) E. Gau; grandson, Dustin (RyLee) Gau; granddaughters, Nicole (Maher) Saoudi and Samantha Gau; great grandchildren, Kendric, Kallianna, Kwinn and Analee; sisters, Barbara Vild, Nancy Hissom. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna M. Gau; and his parents.
Behm Family Funeral Home of Geneva, OH, and Brewer and Sons Family Funeral Home in Brooksville, FL is assisting the family.
Revised: Graveside Service will take place at 12 Noon on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at West Lennox Cemetery, Rt. 46 South, Lennox, OH and a Memorial Service will take place immediately following at Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 State Route 45 North Rock Creek, OH 44084.
