Jacqueline Louise Shaw Walker passed away on May 14, 2018 in Hamilton, Ohio. Jackie was born on September 3, 1934, in Sanford, Maine, to Wilbur G. and Florence A. Shaw. She graduated from both Sanford High School and Nasson College.
Jackie married William E. Walker of Sanford, Maine, on August 3, 1957. They lived in both Perry and Madison, the latter for 50 years. Survivors include children, Melville (Jane), Byron (Debbie), Kimberly (Steve), William Jr. (Libby), and Lori (Dan); grandchildren, Damon, Devin, Kyle, Craig (Lori), and Clint Walker; Brett (Elizabeth), Wendy, and Chad Long; Douglas, Cassidy, and Natalie Brown; great-grandchildren, Shawn, Adelyn, Mason, and Madison Walker; sisters-in-law, Melva White, Dorothy Peteros; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Clinton, in 1961; her parents; brothers, Robert and Winston; and a sister, Barbara.
Jackie had a multitude of friends. Coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn and grilled cheese were served often over long talks and many laughs. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandkids, making them French toast breakfasts and spoiling them rotten. She was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying the Cleveland teams, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and The New England Patriots.
A private internment will take place at Perry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10a.m. until 11a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. Madison, OH with a Memorial service following visitation at 11a.m in the funeral home. Pastor Michael Edwards of Bible Baptist Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice.
