Christine Elisabeth (Denmore) Bomer Germaine

Christine Elisabeth (Demore) Bomer Germaine, 70, died May 5, 2018 following a long illness. She attended Mentor High School where she was a charter member of the Top 25. She attended Bowling Green State University, receiving an education degree, and taught elementary grades for many years in Oak Harbor and Cleveland City Schools. She was also a social worker in foster care agencies and the Ashtabula County Counseling Center. She organized bloodmobiles for the Red Cross, and was the director of the Mental Health Association in Lake County. After retirement, she was coordinator for the Madison Salvation Army Service Unit. She was also a member of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church in Andover. A person of great faith, courage and compassion, Chris loved children and was deeply concerned for the needs of others and devoted to her students, clients, family and friends. Her hobbies included reading, travel, puzzles, pets and visiting with friends. Chris is survived by her husband, the Rev. John M. Germaine; son, Ryan Bomer (Lori); brothers Dr. Steve Demore (Venita), Jim Demore and Scott Demore (Gail); close friend Jay Demore; Aunt Jeanne McClain (Jack); cousins and nieces. She was preceded in death by parents James and Irene Demore. Friends will be received Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10:00 am until the time of a 12:00p.m. Memorial service at Chapel United Methodist Church, 2019 Hubbard Rd., Madison, OH 44057 with Rev. Lenore Robinson presiding.
