Betty Jane ( nee Nye) Burkhart

Betty Jane (nee Nye) Burkhart, age 74, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at her home. She was born December 30, 1943 in Chardon, Ohio the daughter of Clifford Nye and Ruth (Molzon) Nye. Betty married Wiley Burkhart in Ashtabula in 1987. Betty was a homemaker and also worked as a daycare provider for Ashtabula County. She loved spending time with family and lived life with a servants heart and a positive attitude. She loved Jesus and taught everyone that they could do anything through Christ who strengthens them (Phil 4:13). She is survived by her husband, Wiley Burkhart; her sons, Doug (Missy) Bradburn, Joe (Dena) Bradburn, and her stepchildren Adam (Alicia) Burkhart, Janet Burkhart, Wiley Constance Roberts, Elizabeth Burkhart, and Alexandria Burkhart; her grandchildren, Makaela, Colton, Tyler, Kyle, and Lauren; Her step grandchildren Ricky, Tyler, Gracie, Zoey, Adam, Lebro, Mckenzie, Anthony, Chase, Wiley, Blake, Cameron, Savanna, Christopher, Andrea and Janee Olivia; siblings, JoAnne Boyle, Margie Ross, Janice Anderson, David Nye, Rebecca Fellows, Timothy Nye, and Kathy Peterson. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Ethan; and siblings, Robert Nye, Roger Nye, and Mark Nye. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Peoples Church, 300 S. Ridge E, Geneva, Ohio with Pastor Mike Rose officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Final resting place will be Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva, Ohio.
