Carol I. Balaban, Age 84, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at Lake Health, Painesville. Born April 3, 1925 in Youngstown to Mary Jane (Roof) & Richard Dodd she married Muriel Robert Balaban in Cleveland, Ohio on January 23, 1942 Graduate of Collinwood High School. Enjoyed sewing, canning and being mom. She is survived by 8 Children, Dianne (Charles) LeMay of Geneva, Robert Balaban of Madison, Nancy (Roy) Blalock of Madison, Marlane Bastian, of Madison, Dave (Judy) Balaban of Madison, James Balaban of Geneva, Paul (Laurie) Balaban of League City, Texas, Don Balaban of Madison; 24 Grandchildren; 26 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: Husband of 64 years, Muriel Robert Balaban; 2 Grandsons, Jason Balaban and Mark Blalock; Brother, Danial Welty & Sister Virginia Coffee Friends will be received 3-5:00 pm, Sunday, August 30, 2009 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, OHIO Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 31, 2009, at the funeral home. Rev. Larry Wade will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
