Ludwig J. Gustincic, Age 90, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 TriPoint Medical Center in Concord, OH.
Born February 27, 1920 in Cleveland to Anna (Skully) & Ludwig Gustincic he married Mary J. Davis in Madison, Ohio in April 1943.
He was Chief of Police for Madison Village.
Mr. Gustincic went to the Case Reserve Police School and served as the Town Marshall in Madison. He then went on to be the Chief of Police in Madison Village from 1948-1992. He also served as a U.S. Marshall. He owned and lived in his home since 1945 and he enjoyed farming. He was a lifetime member of the Lake County Chiefs of Police Association, member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #16.
He is survived by his children, Mary Ann ?Mitzi? Gustincic of Mentor, John (Linda) Gustincic of Madison, Patricia (Robert) Zapp of Madison; 10 Grandchildren, Tony, Danny, Devan, Heather, Barry, Ronnie, Tina, Tim, Angel, 22 Great-Grandchildren;
2 Great-Great-Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by His Parents; Wife, Mary J. Gustincic in 1997 and Son, Ludwig Gustincic, III in 1976
Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2010 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd., Madison, Ohio. Rev. Sean Donnelly of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will be officiating.
Final Resting Place will be at Fairview Cemetery, Madison, Ohio.
