Sally J. Broadwater, Age 60, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family after a 2 year battle with brain cancer.
Born May 8, 1950 in Clearfield County, PA, to Anna Louise (McCracken) & Ernest Charles DuFour shw married Dale Broadwater in Kirtland, Ohio on July 24, 1971
Sally was a homemaker and was vice-president of Dee-Lee Machine, Inc. in Madison.
She was a 1970 Graduate of Riverside High School and also graduated from the Lake County Joint Vocation School of Cosmetology with 9 years perfect attendance. She was active as a troop leader for Girl Scout Troop #636 and Sally served as the first chairwoman of the Women?s Committee for the Lake County Farm Bureau. She had a deep appreciation for arts and crafts and was an accomplished carving artist. Many of her works are recorded in the Library of Congress. She was also an avid collector of Depression Glass. Sally & her husband, Dale, loved traveling throughout the continental United States and she enjoyed their annual trips to Cancun. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for their gentle care and compassion.
She is survived by Husband, Dale Broadwater of Madison; Daughter, Lori (Jeff) Jevnikar of Willoughby; Sons, Robert (Cindy) Broadwater of Trumbull Township & Mark (Nicole) Broadwater of Madison; Grandchildren, Casey, Lorena, Lucas, Sadie, Austine
Mother, Anna DuFour of Painesville;
Brothers, Chuck DuFour & Chris DuFour;
Sisters Sandy Smith, Donna Parson & Bonnie Johnson; Close Friends, Jim, Debbie, Mark & Kim
She was preceded in death by her father; Sister, Katherine DuFour
Friends will be received 4-8:00 pm, Sunday, July 11, 2010, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Monday, July 12, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Harry Buch officiating.
Final Resting Place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
