Frank J. Hocevar

Frank J. Hocevar, Age 70, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at home. Born December 12, 1939 in Cleveland to Stephanie Ann (Kozar) & Frank L. Hocevar. Frank served as a Police Chief in Geneva for 1967-1985. He later served as a detective for Ashtabula County Sheriff Department and retired as an investigator for Ashtabula Department of Human Resources. Frank served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lakeshore Lodge #114. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by Brothers, William J. (Patricia) Hocevar of Geneva, David (Donna) Hocevar of Chesterland, James (Betty) Hocevar of South Russell; Sisters, Jacqueline Hocevar of Chesterland, Carol (Pat) Palmieri of Highland Heights; Step-Daughters, Julie Uncle, John Kotar of Parma; Several Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces & Great-Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Stephie Hocevar Nephew, Frank Hocevar Friends will be received 4-8:00 pm, Friday, June 18, 2010 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva, Ohio. Final Resting Place will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
