Joseph John Kessler Sr.

Joseph J. Kessler, Sr., Age 70,of Harpersfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at home. Born September 29, 1939 in Cleveland to Marie (Senn) & Joseph S. Kessler, he married Dolores Pilger in Parma, Ohio on September 10, 1966 Occupation: Systems Analyst for Ohio Bell (Ameritech) for 39 years. Upon retirement, he was employed by the Ledgemont School District as a computer science teacher. Memberships and Affiliations: Served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Hof, Germany. Member of the Harpersfield Ruritan Club and Hof Reunion Association; served on Harpersfield Zoning Board and as a 4-H advisor for many years.. He is survived by Wife, Dolores Kessler of Harpersfield; Children, Audra (Matthew Bennett) Kessler, Dr. Joseph Kessler, Jr., Kathleen (Derrick) Heflin, Cheryl (Robert) Maurer; Grandchildren; Sydney & Joely Bennett, Nicholas & Jonathan Maurer, Carolyn & Carly Heflin; sister, Judy (Harry) Jerson & brother, Leonard Kessler; Many dear nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; Sister, Sandy Kessler Friends will be received 2-4:00 pm & 6-8:00 pm, Friday, May 28, 2010 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva, Ohio. Rev. John Mulqeen will be officiating.
