Dudley Rose

Dudley Rose, Age 85, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010 Madison Health Care.
Born May 8, 1924 in Painesville to Catherine Burr (Smead) & Edward William Rose.
Formerly was a plant manager at Pesco Products. Also worked as a research engineer for TRW and as the plant manager for the Naval Industrial Reserve Aircraft Plant. He owned and operated Rose Aviation in the 1950?s.
He was a 1942 graduate of Madison High School and served as a 1st Lieutenant in the 48th Troop Carrier Division in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He then graduated from Purdue University with his degree in aeronautical engineering. He spent some time in politics serving as the Mayor of Madison 1966-1970 and as the Lake County Sanitary Engineer. He enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing and raised thoroughbred horses for several years.
He is survived by sons, Michael (Isabel) Rose of Phoenix, AZ,Robert (Sue) Rose of Geneva, Kenneth Rose of Painesville, Christopher (Leslie) Rose of Geneva; Daughters, Barbara (Jim) Russell of Long Beach, CA, Jennifer (Doug) Dickerson of Sacramento, CA;
7 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren;
Sister, Gladys Newby of California;
Brother, William Rose of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his Parents
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery, Madison, Ohio.
Final Resting Place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
