Walter Frederick Krauss

Walter "Wally" Krauss, age 73, a resident of Madison, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2007, at home in Madison, Ohio.
Born on Aug.12, 1933, in Geneva, Ohio, he was a son of the late Gladys Mae (Beach) and Alvin Edwin Krauss. He married Irma M. Lohrey on June 30,1956, in Mentor, Ohio.
He worked as a maintenance welder at Chrysler in Twinsburg, Ohio; and previously was a Volunteer Fireman at Station Three.
He was a member of Fairport VFW, Fairport Hungarian Culture Club, and the American Legion of Silver Springs, Maryland; and was also a Mason.
Wally enjoyed his bulldozers, tractors and traveling, auctions and the flea markets.
He is survived by his wife, Irma M. Krauss of Madison; sons, Wally Jr. (Norma) Krauss and Richard Krauss, both of Madison; a daughter, Carol Ann Stevens of Tacoma, Wash.; grandchildren, Walt III of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Chad of Madison, and Amy, Angela, and Autumn of Washington State; a brother, Alvin (Leannah) Krauss of Lake City, Fla; and a sister, Gladys Jane Sills of St. Augustine, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandsons, Keith David, James Richard, and Justin.
