Rita M. Buehner

Rita M. Buehner, age 89, a resident of Madison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Rae-Ann Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Geneva, Ohio. Born April 28, 1918 in Darke County, Ohio to Mary (Huelsman) & John C. Meyer, she married George Buehner in Euclid, Ohio on April 27, 1940. Mrs. Buehner worked at Harback's Bakery before her marriage. She was Laundry Manager at Andrews School for Girls, retiring in 1980. She was a founding member of St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church in Eastlake and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison. Mrs. Buehner loved sewing, playing scrabble, reading, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by sons Donald (Linda) Buehner of Middlefield, Ohio; Jack (Darlene) Buehner of Mentor, Ohio; Paul Buehner of Richmond Heights, Ohio; daughters Elaine (Thomas) Hupertz of Madison, Ohio; Susan (Timothy) Brunetz of Tecumseh, Michigan; Mary Ann (Raymond) Mackura of Madison, Ohio; daughter-in-law Cynthia Buehner of Eastlake, Ohio; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George Buehner; son James Buehner; brothers Albert, Urban, Edmund and Neal Meyer and sister LaVerne Flanigan. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9, Sunday, June 3, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Monday, June 4, at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison. Rev. Sean Donnelly & Rev. Mr. Thomas Hupertz of Immaculate Conception Church will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.
