Joan N. Whipple, Age 84, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011, in Madison. Born December 11, 1926 in Painesville, Ohio to Celia (Bidlake) & Glen W. Nash, she married Sheldon Whipple in Madison, Ohio on October 12, 1946 Joan was a Homemaker A 1944 Graduate of Madison High School, she attended Hiram College. She enjoyed needlework, camping and bird watching.. She was an associate member of ORTA, NRTA and Lake Co, RTA. Member of Central Congregational Church where she was church historian, active in Needles and Chatterers and Women's Fellowship. Member of Friends of Arcola Creek, and a voting poll worker since 1979. She is survived by Daughters, Susan (Charles Jewett) Whipple of Madison, Beth Szczesniak of Chesterland, OH; Sons, Glen (Carmen) Whipple of National City, CA, Jon (Linda) Whipple of Madison, Paul Whipple of Madison, Keith Whipple of Evanston, IL; 17 Grandchildren; Many Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Evelyn M. Teleha of Madison, Frances (Larry) Jenkins of Haines City, FL. She was preceded in death by Parents; Husband Sheldon; Son in Law Stan Szczesniak. Friends will be received 3:00 to 6:00pm on Sunday, October 9, 2011at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, OH Funeral Service will be 11:00am on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Central Congregational Church, 71 Park Street, Madison. The family will receive visitors for one hour prior to the service at the church. Final Resting Place will be Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
