Doy "Lucky" Haddox, age 82 of Madison, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 19, 2015. Born July 5, 1932 in West Virginia he was the son of the late Lawrence and Ina (nee Clayton) Haddox. Doy married Ruth Rankin in Elkin, WV in 1957. Doy retired from GM and worked at the Fisher Body Plant in Cleveland for 32 years. Proud of his service to our country, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was active member of the Madison VFW and American Legion posts for many years. Doy always enjoyed a good hand of poker on Sunday afternoons with his friends. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; his daughter: Ina (Eli) Miller of Southington, Ohio; sons: Randall Haddox of Middlefield and Lawrence Haddox of Madison; grandchildren: Hallie Myers, Johnny Franks, Jason and Katie Haddox, Lawrence Haddox, Jr., Christopher Brown and Jeremy Ramsey; great granddaughters: Aubree and Samantha Myers; brothers: Dennis Haddox of Florida and Dewey Haddox of West Virginia. He is preceded in death by his brother: Daniel; sister: Ermalee Clark; his parents; and granddaughter: Jennifer Haddox. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 5:00pm on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Funeral Service for Doy will take place at 11:00am on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Military honors will take place immediately following at Madison Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
