Anna E. Connelly Wilson, 95, of Madison, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Rae-Ann Nursing Home in Geneva. She was born February 18, 1919 in Grindstone, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Michael Fred and Edna Alberta (nee Grove) Lorenz. Anna was a United States Army Veteran of World War II, serving as a nurse stationed in the Persian Gulf. While serving her country she also drove the trucks bringing supplies through Iran to Russia. Anna served as the director of Nursing at St. Luke's hospital for many years. She was a world traveler, and took any opportunity to do so. She liked to attend her lunch groups, and going on gambling bus trips with friends. Anna also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and was often making baby blankets for friends and family to enjoy. A faithful Catholic, Anna was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Madison. She was also a member of the American Legion Brook Park Post #610. Anna is survived by her step-son, Thomas (Bonnie) Wilson of Madison; step-daughters, Kathleen (Joseph) Stepan of Lakewood, and Judith Wilson of Mobile, Alabama; nieces, Yolanda "Babe" and Marge Defino; great-nieces and nephews, Donna, Diana, Michael (Lesley) and Christopher Defino, all of Uniontown, PA; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Patrick Connelly; second husband, Thomas E. Wilson; parents; her sister, Mary Defino; brother, Edward Lorenz; and nephews, Donald and Michael Defino. A Mass of Christian burial will be 11am Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd., Madison, with Rev. Father Sean Donnelly officiating. Calling hours will be from 3-7pm Monday February 9, 2015 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison. Private family burial will be observed.
