Earl H Starnes III

July 7, 1946 ~ November 9, 2014
Earl H. Starnes III met his Lord and Savior Sunday, November 9, 2014 with his family at his side, after a courageous 3 ½ year battle with cancer.
He suffered, but never once complained, always saying, "I'm fine." Earl worked at Henkel Corporation for 22 years, never missing a day of work while going through chemo; but his heart has always been in Texas.
Earl leaves behind his loving wife of 25 years, Sue "B.J." Starnes of Perry; also his mother, Dorothy Starnes of Texas; two sons, Earl Starnes IV and Brian Starnes both of Texas; daughter, Sidnee, whom he adopted this year; daughter, Lisa Dunn of Illinois; step-daughters, Lorri Brown and Tracy Wagner both of Perry; brother, Jim Starnes of Nevada; sister, Staci (David) Dean of Texas; daughter-in-law, Kristine Starnes of Texas; grandchildren, Mitchell Inclan, Amber Dunn, Shawn Dunn, Becca Starnes, Earl Starnes V, and Nate Caldron; two great-granddaughters, Aubree and Kylee. He also leaves behind two very dear and special friends, Josie Harrell and Joe Hanak; many nieces and nephews and his dog, "Jake." He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Starnes; sister, Sabrina; and brother, Randy. Earl's passion outside his family was playing golf with his buddies Dale and Chuck.
A very special thank you to Kelly and the care givers from Crossroad Hospice who took such great care of him.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Perry United Methodist Church, 3875 Main St., Perry, with Pastor Jim Jensen officiating.
He will be missed by so many people, his kindness and sharing ways will forever be remembered.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in care of the family to further his daughter, Sidnee's education.
