Ursula I Doland

Ursula I. Doland, age 84, of Madison, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Rae Ann Skilled Nursing, Geneva, Ohio. She was born November 20, 1928 in Germany to Kaete (Gericke) & Otto Malzahn. She married American soldier, Sgt. William Doland in Berlin on August 26, 1947. Soon after immigrating to the United States, she became a naturalized US citizen. She was a former member of the Emerald Necklace Winnebago Club and enjoyed traveling the continental United States with her husband. Ursula is survived by her daughters, Monica (Carl) Lauer of Leroy & Marina (Bill) Rimes of Madison; sons, Norbert (Beth) Doland of Glendale, CA & Steven (Paula) Doland of Madison; grandchildren, Jason, Jodi, Melissa, Brett, Deanna, David, Christian, George, Nikki, Tracy and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents and sister, Brigitte. Friends will be received 5-8 pm, Wednesday, February 27, 2013, & 10-11 am, Thursday, February 28, 2013, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kelly Irish of St. Anne's Anglican Church officiating. Final resting place will be North Madison Cemetery, Madison, Ohio.
