Robert L. Watson

Robert L. Watson, 84, longtime resident of Perry, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015.
He was born on May 3, 1930 in Elyria, Ohio to Robert H. and Edith L. (nee Baker) Watson. Robert graduated from Perry High School and served honorably in the United States Army in Korea. He retired from Avery-Dennison and previously served on the Perry Township Police Department.
Mr. Watson enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and farming. He enjoyed the outdoors and making his own maple syrup.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Oza D. (nee Davis) Watson; children, Clayton "Butch" (Debbie) Knauff, Arlen Watson and Terry (Jodi) Watson; grandchildren, Helen Watson, Dawn Ribblet, Rodney Watson, Joshua (Sadie) Knauff, Krystal (Chris) Promfret, Melissa Knauff, Tessa (Jared) Kingus and Michael (Christine) Watson; and several great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald Watson; and two sisters, Virginia Ranson, Carlean Davis and Betty Davidson.
Graveside services will be held, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Perry Cemetery, where military honors will be observed.
