Bernice W. Drake

Bernice W. Drake, age 90, of Geneva passed away April 7, 2015 at Geneva Village Retirement Community. She was born in Cleveland on December 6, 1924, the daughter of the late Edward and Celia (Vlcek) Beifuss. Bernice was a graduate of Orwell High School. She worked at Garrick's in Geneva, and then moved with her husband to Navarre, Ohio to enjoy country life on their son's farm. She resided there for thirty-two years before moving back to Geneva. Survivors include her daughter, Janice (Richard) Belconis of Geneva; sons, Gary (Janet) Drake of Elizabeth, Colorado; Dr. Timothy Drake (Susan Lewis) of Navarre; and William (Lori) Drake of Charlotte, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and a brother Edward (Dorothy) Beifuss of Chardon. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, William J. Drake in 2007. Cremation will take place and the family will conduct private services at their convenience. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula Ohio, 44004. The Behm Family Funeral Home is caring for the family at this time of need.
