Ivan Miller

Ivan Miller, age 85, of Perry, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at home. He was born June 3, 1930 in WV to John Wesley and Daisy (Shaffer) Miller. Ivan married Carol Brainard in Perry on May 22, 1960. Ivan was an U.S. Army veteran. He retired from the City of Painesville in 1983 after 33 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and golfing. Ivan loved his church and following after the grandkids especially keeping up with their sporting events. He was a simple man that enjoyed simple things. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol; daughters, Tamara Chom, Michelle (Ray) Chom, Connie Conklin; grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda, Lynnea, Alexis, Stefanie (Jim), Robert, Marcus, Cassidy; great-grandchild, Baby Mason Ivan on the way; and brother, Foster Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maxine, Violet, Beulah, Kathleen; brothers, Jack and Junior. Friends will be received 6 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Perry First Baptist Church, 3918 Main St., Perry, Ohio 44081. A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2016.
