Thomas C. Thompson, age 84, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Lake Health Madison, ER. He was born March 11, 1932 in Cleveland, the son of William and Winifred (Carney) Thompson.
A 1950 Perry High School graduate, Thomas served in the US Navy. After his service to his country, he graduated from John Carroll University. He went on to be a sales representative from Master Builders, now BASF. Thomas worked out regularly at the YMCA where he made many friends. He loved sports and followed Wake Forest Athletics and the Cavs. He enjoyed a good round of golf and had the gift of being able to strike up a conversation with anyone.
He is survived by his fianc, Gloria Kelso of Madison; daughters, Ellen Thompson of Utah, Laura Thompson of Greensboro, NC; extended family, Kim (Bill) Heinemann, Karen (Tom) Hastings, Dan (Holly) Kelso, Dina (Ron) Warren, Kyle and Colin Heinemann, Hannah, Carl, and Julia Hastings, Miranda and Hailey Warren, Marnie and Banks Heinemann; and his 4-legged friend, Gus. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio 44057 with a Funeral Service following at 3:00 p.m. Final Resting Place will be Perry Cemetery.
