I'm terribly sorry for your loss. It's beyond difficult when we lose a loved one in death. Even harder is the question whether or not we will see them again. Because we miss them dearly. The Bible gives us an encouraging answer though. At 1Corinthians 15:26 it brings out that Death is an enemy and that it IS to be brought to nothing. (New World Translation ). The King James version says Death will be “destroyed “. Acts 24:15 also says that “there will be a resurrection” though of our loved ones. Think, how you feel right now at this tragic point in you and your family's lives. Riddled with unbearable pain. It can be reversed. Sadness , mourning, tears seemingly endless. The book of Revelation gives us that unimaginable hope. Unimaginable yet Garunteed, God's word tells us, “he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed”. So the answer to that daunting, disheartening question of whether or not you will see them again is Yes. You can see your loved ones again. Think how that reunion will be. You'll no doubt feel how a family mentioned in the Bible felt when Jesus resurrected their daughter at Mark 5:42. “They were beside themselves with great ecstasy “. But for now, know that God can and will comfort us in all our trials if we let him (2 Corinthians 1:4).
Prayers to the family of Rudy Novotny. We will miss him, too. But he is in heaven looking down on us, running his electric chair around with joy, smiling and laughing at us. We have great memories of him and his beloved family. Peace on earth.
Uncle Rudy, you are at peace now without the physical pains. I imagine you are Polka dancing with Aunt Winnie, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Millie and dad up there in heaven. I also imagine Grandma is chasing you, dad and Aunt Millie around with her wooden spoon! I will always cherish the get togethers and phone conversations we had. You were always a happy person and you spread that joy to many of us. I remember you telling us one time that you did not want us to mourn upon your death, but to have a beer and party for you instead. Well, here's to you Uncle Rudy…”Cheers!!!” God's peace to Judy, Gary and Dale, and to their families.
