Resided in: Ashtabula, OH

David Alan Herron, 66, of Ashtabula, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. He was born on February 19th, 1960 in Madison, Ohio to the late Ora and Margaret (Yoho) Herron.

He had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, enjoying both riding them and working on them. As a skilled auto body man and car painter, he took pride in his work and had a talent for working with his hands.

David was truly the life of the party, with a personality that drew people to him wherever he went. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. His friendly nature, outgoing personality, and ability to make friends wherever he went made him someone people enjoyed being around.

Above all, he was a dad who was always there to lend a helping hand. Whether it meant renovating, building, or tackling a project at one of his children’s homes or projects he was always willing to show up and put his skills to work. He shared his knowledge, time, and talents with his family, leaving his mark not only through his craftsmanship but also through the things he helped build and the memories they created together.

We have peace knowing that our mom and dad are once again riding into the sunset together.

David is survived by his children, Brandy Herron, Desiree Fuduric. and David Herron Jr.; siblings, Robert (Rema) Herron and Anni Herron; and grandchildren, Amiya Jacobs, Wyatt and Aubrey Fuduric, Lacresha Herron, Destiny Herron, Katrina Herron, David Herron III, and Justin Baird.

He is preceded in by his parents; his wife, Karen (Petrowski) Herron; and siblings Bill Herron and Peggy Herron

Guestbook

  1. Uncle Dave,

It’s hard to imagine this world without you in it. Family gatherings will never be the same without your spunk, banter and constant laughter.
My favorite thing about you was all the talks we’d have about the old days. As much as that, I loved your laugh and how you’d slap your leg with laughter.
When you showed up, no matter the occasion, it always made my heart happy.
You will be missed by so many, until we reunite again—
    I love you, always.
    Melissa

In your own words “Love ya. See ya, bye”
