Luis Alberto Cruz, 65, of Ashtabula, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. He was born on February 13th, 1961 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico to the late Julio and Francisca (Santiago) Cruz.

He was an avid hunter. Luis enjoyed visiting his friends, kids, and grandchildren. He was a happy, pleasant man, who just enjoyed life in general. Luis had a smile that lit up any room.

Luis is survived by his wife, Melanie (Landon) Cruz; children, Luz E. Cruz, Hector Cruz, Henry Cruz, and Abran Cruz; stepchildren, Samuel Zayas, Manuel Zayas, and Luis Zayas; and many beloved grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Luis A. Cruz Jr.; and twin daughters, Michelle Cruz and Milica Cruz.
