Jimmy R. Posey

Jimmy R. Posey, age 81 of Geneva, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Born January 25th, 1945, to Walter Edward Posey and Mable Lucille Jeffries in Upshur County, West Virginia. Jim married Betty Gordon on November 13th, 2008, and they remained inseparable until his passing.

Jim owned and operated Madison Muffler and Auto, Inc. His hobbies included playing golf with his brother Jerry and riding his Harley motorcycle. He was known as a patient man of quiet strength guided by his love for Jesus, his wife, his church, and the local community. Through his work and business, he touched many lives with his honesty and integrity. He leaves a legacy of generosity and selfless service to those around him. He was truly unique and will be deeply missed. Jim was a dedicated member of Lifeline Church in Madison and his favorite Bible verses were Isaiah 41:10 & 13: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

Jim leaves behind his loving wife, Betty, and her daughter Brittany Piccirillo (Rico); son, Lauden Posey, grandsons, Shane Posey (Stormey); Kolle Posey; Dartanian Brown; Rocco Piccirillo; granddaughters Alexis Luke (Brandon); Brittney Siringer (Michael); Rylee Gau (Dustin); several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jim was one of ten children and is survived by his brother, Jerry Posey (Sherry); his sister Brenda Cummings (Paul); and his half-brother Jackie Watson (Dona). He was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Posey; son Daniel Posey; brothers Byrel Posey; Larry Posey; sisters Vera Posey; Rosemary Sharp; Wanda Skidmore; Barbara Fallen; Margaret Alderman; and half-brother Johnny Watson.

Friends and family will be received at Lifeline Church, 5236 Middle Ridge Road, Madison, Ohio, on Friday, September 25th, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday, September 26th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, followed by a service at 12 Noon at the church officiated by Pastor Evan Nunnally. . Burial will immediately follow at Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Road in Madison. A Luncheon will take place directly after the burial at Lifeline Church at the above address.
