Joseph Edward Rinyo, age 93 of Madison, passed away Thursday, May 28,
2026, at Hospice of Western Reserve in Cleveland. He was born February
17, 1933, the son of Steve and Elizabeth Rinyo. He was a 1951 graduate
of Fairport Harbor Harding High School and he then served in the United
States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Joe was a member of Immaculate Conception Church for over 65 years.
He was a welder at the Diamond Shamrock Company and then he retired
as a Maintenance Planner for CEI. Known as “Juice house Joe”, he
worked for many years at Chalet Debonné Winery.

His greatest love was his hunting dogs and his trips to South Dakota for the
start of pheasant season, a passion he held for over 65 years. Joe was
very active in the Fairport Harbor VFW and served as its’ commander for
10 years and remained on the governing board until his passing. Joe’s
other interest was in making wines to enjoy and sharing with his family and
friends.

Joe leaves behind his loving wife, Annette; daughter, Anita
(Steven) Shapasian; grandchildren, Andrew and Shelley Shapasian.  He
was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Margaret Majoros, Eleanor
McCabe and Helen Turchik; and brother, Steve Rinyo.

Friends and family will be received 4-7 pm Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at
Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison.  Mass of Christian
Burial will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, at
Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd in Madison.  There will
be a reception at Chalet Debonné Winery to follow the Service. Online
