Kathy “Susie” Faye Tomasik, age 72, passed away on May 11, 2026 at Rae Ann Geneva Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was born May 11, 1954 in Pennington Gap, VA to William and Juanita (Leonard) Potter.

She loved her family and she was considered everyone’s favorite Aunt. She was compassionate and was very giving and had a great sense of humor. As a long-time member of Here’s Hope Church, Susie had a very strong faith and cared deeply for other people. She loved cats and she loved her kids. She also enjoyed shopping, especially finding bargains at thrift stores and also loved working at the Senior Center. She could be found in her garden, tending to her flowers along with her gnomes. She also enjoyed decorating for the holidays.

Susie leaves behind her daughter, Heidi Longmire; grandchildren, Carl and Jolene Longmire; sister, Lisa Dodge; nieces and nephews, David (Van) Potter; Kenny, Jessie and Missy Potter, Keith Hall, Melanie Champa, Dallas, Montana and Dakota Dodge; and great nieces and great nephews Beatrix and Cody Potter, Harley and Kyler Potter, Xoe and Noah Daniel. She was preceded in death by daughter, Heather Braun; brother, Chalmers Darrel Potter and sister, Linda Hall.

Friends will be received 10 to 11 am on Wednesday May 20, 2026 at Here’s Hope Church, 6601 Chapel Road in Madison with a Funeral Service immediately following at 11 am at the Church.
