Ronald J. Welsh, age 70 of Madison, Ohio passed away at his home on Thursday, March 19, 2026. He was born in Geneva, Ohio to Charles A. and Mary F. (Zakreysek) Welsh. He was a 1974 graduate of Madison High School. Ron went on to become a general contractor building homes. He was an excellent self-taught builder and was proud of his trade. He was a hard worker all of his life.
Ron was a perfect brother to have. He was very honest and he would go out of his way to help anybody. He took excellent care of his mother when she was ill and his family has always been very proud of him.
He is survived by his brother, Donald (Dorothy) Welsh; nephew, Ryan (Katie) Welsh and their children William and Elizabeth Welsh; special cousins Joseph Welch, David Welch, Eugene Welch, and Cheryl Welch; dear friends, Dan and Lisa D’Abate, Adam Bonnema and Steven Sheets.
Friends will be received 10 am to 11 am on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison with a Service immediately following at 11 am at the funeral home. Ron was a great person. He was always kind to me when I was a kid. My mom and dad thought the world of him. He’ll be greatly missed.
