Raymond Ralph Brickner, age 91 of Madison, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Burton Healthcare Center. He was born January 23, 1935 in Cleveland, the son of Sylvester and Charlotte (Gladek) Brickner. He married Josephine “Neno” Oravec in Willowick on August 7, 1971.

Raymond was a 1953 graduate of John Hay High School and then served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Conrail and also worked for the Department of Defense.

He was a member of Jay Wilson Post #112 American Legion and the Lake Shore #307 Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, camping and playing the accordion. He also loved going to the Madison Senior Center every day for lunch.

He is survived by his son, Anthony (Patricia) Brickner; brother-in-law, William “Bill” LeMaster; and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Josephine “Neno” Brickner; his parents; and sister, Marjorie.

Friends will be received 5-8 pm Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. in Madison. Funeral Service will take place at 11 am on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Chapel United Methodist Church, 2019 Hubbard Road in Madison. Final Resting Place will be Fairview Cemetery in Madison. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Chapel United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be viewed at www.behmfuneral.com.

  2. Ray and Nemo were such a beautiful ,loving couple. Enjoyed seeing them on their weekly visits to Peebles in Madison. Always talked about their outings with their son and daughter in-law . So sorry for your loss.
