William S. “Bill” Wheelock, age 82 of Geneva, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Rae-Ann Skilled Nursing Home in Geneva, where he has been a resident since 2023. Born December 15, 1943 in Jamestown, New York. He was the son of the late Arthur and Loreen (Benson) Wheelock of Kennedy, New York.

After receiving his BS and Master’s Degrees, in Chemistry, from Fredonia College in New York he went on to proudly serve in the United States Marine Corp. During his enlistment, he actively served in Viet Nam 1966-1969, with the Second Battalion. Following his honorable discharge, Bill put his chemistry degrees to work in Western, New York and eventually Northeast, Ohio. He also served as a volunteer Fireman with the Kennedy Fire Department in Kennedy, New York. He was a brilliant chemist and grew in his career to a well-respected and loved boss. Bill retired from Coca-Cola Foods in Geneva, while enjoying some years reading and working wood. He was an active member of Geneva VFW Post #6846.

He is survived by his daughter, Billie Ann (Wheelock) Dunn; grandchildren; Zach, Hannah, and Emily; sisters, Wendy Kingsbury, Nancy Swanson, and Lurlie Haglund and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in Death by his parents and beloved wife, Ann in 2000.

Friends and family will be received from 5-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. A Funeral Service will take place at 11am on Thursday, March 12th at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva. The family suggests contributions be made in William’s name to the Sub Zero Mission, 1760 N Ridge Road, Painesville OH 44077.
