Karen Sue Mazza

Karen Sue Mazza, age 77, of Madison, OH went home to the Lord and joined her beloved husband, Michael, in Heaven on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

She was born in Cleveland on March 12, 1948, the daughter of Herbert and Teresa Jennison. On November 23, 1968, she married the love of her life, Michael Mazza, beginning a devoted marriage that centered on faith and family.

Karen earned an Associate Degree in Science from Dyke College in Cleveland, Ohio. She worked as an administrative assistant for a gastroenterologist at the Cleveland Clinic for two years before dedicating herself fully to raising her family. She was a loving and devoted homemaker to her six children.

A faithful member of St. Anne’s in the Fields Anglican Church located in Madison, Karen cherished fellowship with fellow believers. She was an avid reader who found joy in Scripture from the Bible, as well as biographies and novels. Karen lived her life with unwavering compassion and kindness, qualities that were beautifully reflected in the way she raised her family. She was a devoted prayer warrior whose unconditional love touched everyone she met.

Karen found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.

She is survived by her children: Heidi (Allen) Perry; Nathan (Jonna) Mazza; Rachel (David) Thistlewood; April (Joey) Cambron; Shane (Megan) Mazza; and Michael (Meghan) Mazza; her sister-in-law, Carol (Dale) Christ; her grandchildren, Dean, Devin, Winnie, Abby, Benjamin, Dylan, Alyssa, Jack, Jaelyn, Madison, Adelyn, and Leona; and her great-grandchild, Elliewin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Michael Mazza who passed on December 24, 2025.

A Memorial Service for Karen and Michael Mazza will be held at 12:00 pm. on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. Madison, Ohio 44057. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow to honor both Karen and Mike, across the street, at Central Congregational Church, 71 Park St. Madison, Ohio, 44057.
