Janet Rose Kozsey
February 18, 1942 ~ February 15, 2026
Born in: Painesville, OH
Janet Rose Kozsey, age 83 of Painesville, passed away at her home on Sunday, February 15, 2026. She was born February 18, 1942 in Painesville, the daughter of Edward and Florence (Flynn) Elia.
Janet was eager to help out whenever and wherever she could. She began her career working for Diamond Shamrock. She then worked in data entry for Avery Dennison and the United Way of Lake County. She was an enthusiastic “Avon Lady” and volunteered at the Lake County Historical Society, the Food Bank, and at St. Bede’s Church, where she was an active member. She enjoyed line dancing, butterflies and her pets were near and dear to her heart. Most of all, Janet loved people; she kept conversation light and loved to laugh. Janet truly believed “There is always something to be thankful for.”
She is survived by her daughters, Laura (Keith) Yoho, Eva Lynne Mills; son, Lee “Andy” Kozsey, Jr.; grandchildren, Blake (Lauren) Anthony Yoho, Brock Everett Yoho and Dean Mills; sisters, Judith Warner, Martha (George) Konick; nieces and nephews, Sonia, Sherri, Michael, Brian and Denise. She was preceded in death by daughter, Jennifer Kozsey; her parents; and sister, Roberta “Bobbie” Mae Elia.
