It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Howard Laing, a cherished son, devoted father, loving brother, and proud grandfather. Jack was born on July 11, 1964, in Willoughby, Ohio, and departed this life peacefully on January 28, 2026, in Madison, Ohio, at the age of 61.
Jack was a dedicated smart *ss who loved riding his Harley, working with his hands, and fishing whenever he could. He lived on his own terms, and leaves behind stories that will be told with smiles, eye rolls and a whole lot of laughter.
He leaves behind a family that adored him: his son, Brandon (Alexis) Laing; his daughter, Ashley Laing; fiancé, Marcella Moore; his beloved grandchildren, Braxton Snyder, Jack Laing, Luna Moore, and Ridley Bartlett; his brother, Keith (Tina) Laing; and his sisters, Becky (Glenn) Montz and Sue (Terry) Dunay; step-children, Tyler (Emilee) Moore, Justin (Justina) Bartlett. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Della Laing, and brother, Doug Laing. Jack’s unwavering love for family and friends will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Crews of family and friends will gather in reverence to celebrate Jack’s life and legacy. Details regarding the funeral services and ceremonies will be announced in due time, ensuring that all who wish to pay their respects and share in the remembrance of Jack will have the opportunity to do so.
In keeping with Jack’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, finding final rest at a location that holds meaning for his loved ones.
Jack Howard Laing’s spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. May he rest in peace. Behm Family Funeral Home is assisting the family.
