It is with great despair that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Edward “Eddie” Ellie A. Walsh, who left us on February 20, 2024. He was born in Painesville, Ohio on June 15th, 1992 and was 31 years old. He graduated from Madison High School in 2010, and pursued his career in the United States Air Force, earning his Associates there. He was a loving uncle, spouse and child.
Edward was a kind, gentle soul, who was beloved by family and friends.
Eddie’s early life in Ohio, alongside his siblings Jocelyn Walsh, Candace (Schetterer) Bastock, and Bradley Pearlman, was filled with love, joy and laughter. Eddie’s five nieces and nephews, Mason, Ryker, Constantine, Annabella, and Willow, adored their Uncle Ducky and were the apples of his eye. They cherished their every moment together. His parents, Lillie and Michael Pearlman, deeply reflect on these cherished memories, grateful for the love and happiness Eddie brought into their lives, and find solace in the enduring bond he shared with his siblings and the next generation of their family.
In 2018, Eddie was married to his beloved, Olya “Spasiuk” Walsh. They built a life together filled with love, traveling adventures, and doted on their beloved cat Kestral. Though facing the profound loss of her spouse, Olya is an unwavering spirit that continues to inspire those around her, creating a testament to the enduring bond they shared.
During the last two years of his life, we would like to acknowledge the significant journey Ed took to become our beloved Ellie Ann. With courage and determination, Ellie embraced her identity as a transgender woman. Her transformation was a testament to self-discovery, and her life serves as a reminder of the importance of acceptance, and understanding within our family. As we remember her, let us honor the person she became and appreciate the strength it took to live authentically.
Calling hours for anyone who wishes to say good-bye to Edward Ellie Walsh, will be held on March 2, 2024, at 1:00pm at Behm Family Funeral Home, located at 26 River St, Madison, Ohio.
