Bob D. Gandy, age 69, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Friday February 23, 2018 at Hillcrest Hospital. He was born on November 5, 1948, in Longview, Washington State, to Laura Ellen (New) and David Clifford Gandy. Bobbie married Diana Masino on May 23, 1998 in Richmond Hts. Ohio.
Bob was proud of his Native American heritage, Cherokee and Choctaw. In his younger years he enjoyed racing cars. He was also proud to serve his country, as a member of the US Navy and Vietnam Veteran. When Bob was honorably discharged from the service he went on to become an over the road truck driver. He also welded and fabricated trailers. One of his pastimes while on a layover, was to gamble, but not too much! And his CB name was The Gambler. Over the road trucking gave him the opportunity to visit family, and he did that as often as the highway provided. Bob enjoyed hunting, especially for elk.
Bob is survived by his wife of 20 years, Diana; his children, Joshua and Noah Gandy, Lori (David) Silva, Michelle Gandy, Bobbie Dale Vincent, Bobbi Jo Zamora, James (Charilyn) Bradford, Robert Gandy; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many loved brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Vargas; parents; and brothers, Isaac Gandy and Willie Walter.
