Anthony “Tony” Powell, age 50, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022. He was born October 4, 1971 in Madison to Shirley (Williams) and Edward Powell.
Tony was born, raised and spent most of his life in Madison, where he made so many of his life long friends. He had a generous personality and a huge heart when it came to family and friends, always wanting to be able to help someone out. He enjoyed working with his hands, building and remodeling homes as a self employed carpenter. He spent part of his career working as a foreman with Union Carpenter Cleveland Ohio Local 95. He was a hard worker who took pride in all he did. Tony enjoyed being outdoors, spending some of his spare time fishing and 4-wheeling with his children. He was and always will be a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend and most importantly a father to Sebastian, Logan and Tabitha who he loved more than anything in life.
He is survived by sons, Sebastian Powell, Logan Powell; daughter, Tabitha Powell; wife; Jacquie Sidwell; sisters, Angela (David) Ogden, Karen (Randy) Sudnick, Jackie (John) Pshock, Shirley (James) Friel; brothers, Edward A. (Courtney) Powell, James C. (Sarah) Powell; aunts and uncles, James and Kay Williams, May Hill, Peggy Varcusko; nieces and nephews, Jacob, Brittny, Joseph, Jeremiah, Justin, Aaron, Keegan, Reece, Quinn, Kayla, Alexis, Connor and Jase; brothers-in-law, Stephen Sanders, John Sanders; sister-in-law, Misty Sidwell; cousins, Gerald Michalek; close family friends, Amanda Easterbrook, Shannon Thompson and many other beloved family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; mother and father-in-law, Cynthia and Gerald Sanders.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio 44057. A service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
