Serving All Backgrounds; Meeting the needs of Hispanic Families

At Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, we are honored to meet the needs of all families in Big Spring, Stanton, and Midland, and embrace the diversity that is so prevalent within our communities. Just as every individual is unique, each culture is unique, with their own traditions and customs. Part of our job is to offer the services of a care team who understands and relates to the diverse groups that make up our community. We are proud to serve and support our neighbors, and we want you to know we strive to meet the needs of all Hispanic families. Every person has a story; here’s how we can help tell yours.

Honoring Your Loved One’s Life

Hispanic culture is known for many things that reflect the effervescence of the people in it. Think of the music of Mexico. Violins, trumpets, and guitars are part of nearly every celebration, large and small. Or how about traditional Mexican or Latin food, known for vibrant colors and flavors. If you would like to feature these elements at a funeral reception, reach out to our team at one of our two reception centers, The Welch Reception Center or the Branch at Nalley-Pickle & Welch, and we’ll take care of everything while you share memories and spend time with family.

The culture is also known for its strong establishment of family, and this care and compassion extends to the neighbors we serve every day. We know how much your loved ones mean to you and are here to walk alongside you as you celebrate those important relationships. We will help you create a unique tribute with an event that is fitting and memorable.

Memorialization

Our religious beliefs often affect our lives in more ways than one, from our music to our literature to our local customs — and even our outlook on the afterlife. According to traditional Mexican beliefs, people are reborn after the burial, so they are laid to rest with a few of their favorite possessions.

Here at Nalley-Pickle & Welch, we know how essential it is add personal details to a funeral service. You can have your service anywhere, and anyway, you want. Choose to play the music your loved one enjoyed or read their favorite Scripture passages. We can even arrange to have doves or butterflies released at the close of the service. In Mexico, a vigil, funeral, and reception help bring together a community to share laughter and memories. Allow us to help you do the same.
